My work explores the language of painting through actions, planned or arbitrary. The city, grid and matrix / cell structures provide a context. I use drip layers or skeins of paint, turning, rotating, un /stretching surfaces. In recent work the image and object are condensed and colour filters veil and unveil the interchanging figure and ground.
