The European Commission has announced a new call for proposals under its Media 2007 programme.

€17 million is available to European production companies to support the development of production projects in the areas of animation, creative documentaries and drama. The maximum financial contribution which may be awarded for Single Project is between €10 000 and €60 000 except for feature-length animations for theatrical release, for which the maximum is €80 000. The maximum financial contribution which may be awarded for Slate Funding and Slate Funding second stage is between €70 000 and €190 000.

The next deadline for applications is the 13 April 2012.
