Out of the ordinary but…could be just right for you!

Voluntary Action Islington has just enjoyed hosting the first of a series of exhibitions planned for 2012. Two fine artists, Zoe Benbow and Alex Cave have their work on show until the 24 February.

The smart, modern, white walled, conference room, and the foyer with a fuscia wall provide professional exhibition space for viewing a wide range of 2D work. The organisation would like to continue to provide any visual artist living, working or studying in Islington the opportunity to submit work for selection, with the view to successful work being exhibited in one of a series of solo and group shows planned for 2012.

Voluntary Action Islington is situated near Kings Cross, on Pentonville Road, a central location with plenty of opportunities for promotion at a Private View. Public access is by appointment only but the organisation has a steady through put of visitors during the week.

‘Creative Islington’ is working in partnership with ‘Voluntary Action Islington’ to organise a system so that a rolling programme of one month shows can continue this year.

To apply email up to five examples of your work in JPEG format, 72 dpi, max.1MB. Your email needs to include the following

The submission deadline is 15 February 2012

The selection process will be carried out by key staff at Voluntary Action Islington. All successful candidates will be required to contribute £20 towards the cost of the Private View. If your work is selected you will need to deliver it ready to hang in the exhibition venue.
