INVITATION

Creative Islington + Islington Council Networking Event

Promoting Training & Employment in the Creative Sector
Thursday 19 Jan, 4.30-6.30
Islington Town Hall

Creative Islington are joint hosting an event with Islington Council for the borough’s creative and cultural organisations and professionals, with a focus on how together we can support skills development and employment opportunities and break down barriers to getting into the sector.

The event will help you to:

- Get an understanding of the current national and local frameworks on Apprenticeships and getting people into employment

- Hear case studies from arts organisations working in different and innovative ways – and how enriching this is for both sides

- Find out what Islington Council is doing and planning and help shape how these initiatives could work for you, whether as a cultural organisation hosting work placements and apprenticeships or as individual interested in mentoing a young person

- Directly express your interest in the opportunities covered and discuss these with relevant LBI officers

- Discover how you might be able to receive match funding

We hope you can join us for this event. It will comprise of a mix of talks, Q&A and discussion groups as well networking time. Refreshments will be provided.
