NETWORKING EVENT ‘Meet the Funder’
Funding partnerships for work with children and young people
Thursday 22 March
Meet the Funders Event 10.30-1.00pm
Networking Lunch 1.00-2.00pm
Creative Islington and Islington’s Children and Young People’s Voluntary Sector Forum are hosting this opportunity for Islington organisations, working with children and young people, to meet and find out more about some key funding organisations and what they offer.
FUNDERS
Arts Council
Cripplegate & Islington Giving
City Bridge
Big Lottery
The emphasis of the event will be on how you can develop and source funding for effective partnerships that meet the needs of Islington’s children and young people. These partnerships could for example be between a creative organisation or practitioner and a school; or an arts organisation and a youth group.
The event will provide networking opportunities between members of two key Islington forums: Creative Islington and Islington’s Children and Young People’s Voluntary Sector Forum. Bringing these groups together we hope to provide a platform for connecting up and exploring creative approaches to develop young people’s potential in our Borough.
This event is part of the Creative Islington ‘Creative Education’ programme, launched at Platform last July.
VENUE: Platform at Hornsey Road Baths, 260 Hornsey Road, N7 7QT
BOOKING ESSENTIAL: RSVP to Nicola Pomery at info@creativeislington.com
> Please include your contact details, org name and job title.
> To facilitate networking we also encourage you send us – in one sentence! – what you do. This will be shared on the guest list together with your email address (if you do not wish your email address to be included please let us know).

I am the organiser from the The Dynamic Autism Group.WE 've just finished our first project at Islington Hub.The project funded by National Lottery and it was aimed to provide good learning skills for the teenagers on the Autism Spectrum in Saturday Club. WE now started the second project, this time they are focusing on creating and publishing a Special Magazine.Parents are paying the fees for the cost (tutor and the rent)Therefore I am searching for funding for this project and also voluntary contribution from other professionals to our art lessons if we find any support.I would like to attend the session please.
